Course Overview
The Resonant Body explores the body as a living instrument of movement, perception and creative expression.
Drawing upon the practices of Shakti DanceĀ®, seasonal cycles, meridian pathways and archetypal wisdom, this retreat offers a practical approach to understanding how different qualities of awareness arise within the body and how movement may be used to consciously cultivate balance, vitality and harmony.
Just as a musical instrument may be tuned to produce different tones, the body may be attuned to different states of perception, creativity, expression and well-being. Through movement, breath and embodied practice, we learn to work with these living pathways of resonance.
Throughout the retreat we explore six fundamental phases of the seasonal cycle and discover how these same patterns unfold through the body, the creative process, the rhythms of life and the unfolding journey of human experience.
The Muses provide a symbolic language for these qualities, revealing how the subtle pulse of life gradually unfolds into music, movement, relationship, story, transformation and renewal.

Learning Path
The Resonant Body invites us to experience the body as a living instrument of perception and expression.
Like the strings of a musical instrument, the meridian pathways each carry distinct tones, colours and qualities of awareness. Through movement, breath and alignment, we learn how to tune these pathways, expanding our capacity for vitality, creativity and embodied presence.
As the body comes into resonance, the physical and subtle dimensions of our being begin to work in harmony. The instrument becomes more responsive, the range of expression expands, and the radiance of the spirit can flow more freely through us, bringing greater ease, authenticity and aliveness to everyday life.
Explore the universal cycle of Birth, Life, Death and Rebirth that lies at the heart of Shakti Dance and is reflected throughout nature, the seasons and our own lives.
Throughout the retreat, we investigate how this same pulse of transformation expresses itself through the seasonal cycle, the meridian pathways, the creative qualities of the Muses, the Seven Light Hues and the movement practices of Shakti Dance.
By recognising these recurring patterns across different scales of experience, we learn to work more consciously with the rhythms of growth, expression, release and renewal, becoming increasingly attuned to the pulse of harmony that underlies life itself.
The Muses provide a symbolic language for understanding how the creative pulse of life unfolds through different phases of experience.
Each Muse represents a unique frequency of perception, sensory attunement and expression, awakening particular qualities of awareness, inspiration and creative potential. As we attune ourselves to these living frequencies through movement, breath and embodied practice, we develop a richer sensitivity to the subtle patterns that shape both inner and outer life.
Together, the Muses reveal a cycle through which the creative pulse of life moves from memory and potential into music, movement, relationship, meaning, transformation and renewal.
Discover an innovative meridian map inspired by the geometry of the stellated dodecahedron and the bodyās natural seasonal rhythms.
This model reveals how different meridian pathways work together as a living network of support, movement, resonance, expression and renewal.
Through movement, breath and embodied practice, we learn how to activate these pathways, attune the strings of our bodily instrument and cultivate greater balance, vitality, coherence and presence.
The Seven Light Hues offer a practical method of attuning to the natural biorhythms of the day through movement, breath, sound and contemplative awareness.
These simple practices reflect the same cyclical principles explored throughout the retreat, helping us cultivate greater balance, vitality, presence and connection with the rhythms of life.
Free introductory online sessions will be offered in the weeks leading up to the retreat.
