Promotional Guide For Shakti Dance® Teachers and Logo
Download the Shakti Dance® Logo here.
As a certified Shakti Dance® Teacher, always remember to use the trademark and/or logo when advertising or promoting any of your Shakti Dance® events.
Students still in the Shakti Dance® Level 1 Teacher Training program are asked to teach only on a non-professional basis – for the purpose of practice.
After successfully passing the Level 1 Teacher Training Practical Exam, it is possible to teach Shakti Dance® professionally, but full certification must follow within 6 months of the practical exam, or this right will be withdrawn. Please see the Terms & Conditions under “Temporary Teaching Permit” for further details regarding this point.
Promotional Guide - How to Promote Yourself as a Shakti Dance® Teacher
This Promotional Guide is designed to help you connect with participants who are looking for what you as a Shakti Dance® Teacher have to offer – and to inspire them to attend your events.
The important things first:
You can read this text and then forget about it. If you do nothing, nothing is done! So – just do it. Take Action!
If you know the problems and needs of your participants, you can also find and offer them a solution – through Shakti Dance®! Listen, when participants talk to you, so you can also learn what moves them – and how they need to be moved (quite literally)!
- What prevents you from sleeping at night?
- What are you afraid of?
- What are you angry about? Who are they mad at?
- What are your top 3 daily frustrations?
- What trends have occurred and will occur in your life in the future?
- What is your secret desire?
- Is there a particular tendency in decision-making? (Example: engineers = exceptionally analytical)
- Do you have your own language – does a certain approach or mode of speech move you?
- Who else offers something similar that can be of benefit and how?
- Who else tried to offered something similar and why might it not have worked?
Define exactly what you do.
- What is Shakti Dance®?
- Describe the current situation of your participant.
- What does the desired situation look like?
- What would it be worth for your target group to achieve their desired situation?
- How much work would you have to do to get it to its destination?
Make your Own Offer
- You will need some high quality photos of yourself or other teachers practicing Shakti Dance®reflecting what you want to offer.
- Speak about the transformation and the results that can be achieved and not about what you will do in detail for the participant.
- Price should reflect the value of this transformation and not the fix costs or the time it takes to achieve these goals.
- Shakti Dance Academy:
Register as a member of the Shakti Dance@ Academy, where you can build your personal profile. Your participants can find you under the option: “Teachers’ Directory”. Go to: www.shaktidanceacademy.com
People often write to the Admin of Shakti Dance® Facebook Pages or via email, asking for Shakti Dance@ Teachers in different territories, but without your presence on the Teachers’ Directory, it is difficult to connect you with potential students.
- Facebook Advertising:
Create your own Shakti Dance® Facebook and Linked in Page. Through the exact definition of your type of participant (from point 1), you can target Facebook advertising. Do not write about how great you are and what you do. Go to serve. Think about what you can do for clients and what adds value to your customers. How can you solve their problem. At the end: call to action. It is necessary to tell your participant what to do next.
For example: If you like that, then click this button …..
- Facebook Post:
Make regular posts. Keep your customers entertained. Say, like when you tell a friend something. Also tell us what’s new and what you’ve experienced with Shakti Dance®. - Video and Photos:
Make a professional video that you show at the top of your homepage. This will show the essence of what you offer in 2 minutes. As a special offer you can have your own video produced in Gallese in the October 2018. Here is a taste of Martina Felsch: https://youtu.be/iklc3EL_jIU
Make videos of your customers. Before and after. How did Shakti Dance help them in their lives?
- Homepage:
Tell your story: Not only through video but also with photos and text you can tell your story. People buy through emotion rather than logic.
– Tell your story on your homepage.
– What did Shakti Dance® do for you?
– What has changed?
– Why did you do it?
- Brochure:
– Present yourself and Shakti Dance® on a brochure.
– Say what you offer the participants and how Shakti Dance® can facilitate this.
– Distribute your brochures in those places where your customers are most likely to appear.
Eg: Yoga Festivals, Yoga Centers, World Shops, Organic Shops, Health Fairs … - Workshops:
Offer workshops at Yoga Festivals, or at your nearest yoga studio. Often, people do not want to book a whole course, but just have a taste of what Shakti Dance® can do for them. - Forums & Blogs:
Connect with yoga forums or write a blog post on a forum. You can also offer a guest article on a well-attended blog. These are very much appreciated and you get thereby much reach. Link to these forums with your Facebook page. - Advertising for pros – Email marketing:
If you want to work very professionally, then collect email addresses and start your email marketing.Generate email addresses by giving your potential participants such a great gift that they like to leave their email address. Every email is your participant. You are interesting. Give them an interesting newsletter regularly. Once a month or every 2 weeks. It has to be regular and interesting. Or produce videos and send them on. Always speak to the interest of your participant. - Activation in Magazines:
This can be expensive if you are inserting an advert, and may not be as effective as you hope. However, if you have good photos and a journalistic touch and are able to write an engaging article for a Yoga Magazine (either printed or online) this can be quite effective. Here are some tips. https://www.wikihow.com/Write-a-Magazine-Article
Visualization in Meditation:
Imagine exactly your ideal group of participants in your ideal location, go deep into the picture. Smell the scent, look at the clothes and the people. Feel the connection and the pleasant feeling. You really have to feel it. Meditate until you feel it.
If you really felt it, ask yourself:
– What do I have to do now to realise what I have just seen?
– Then take the first step…
Take Action
Do not put this text away now. This is the most important point.
Ask yourself the following question:
Which of these points will you do within the next 24 hours?
If you do not start now, you will never do it.
Enjoy the realisation of your dream!
