DATES

LOCATION

ACTIVITY LEVEL

This three-night gathering brings Shakti Dance® practice into direct relationship with the living landscape of Cornwall.
Beginning with arrival from 18:00 and a shared dinner on Thursday evening, and concluding at 13:00 on Sunday, the gathering will combine Shakti Dance® practice, group Mantric Choreographies, movement, mantra, meditation and shared pilgrimage.
We will practise within carefully chosen coastal and sacred places, allowing the qualities of the land to shape and deepen our experience. Cornwall’s estuaries, ancient pathways, stone circles, sea caves, hidden coves and elemental landscapes will not simply provide a beautiful setting, but become part of the practice itself.
As breath, voices and bodies move together, we will explore a deeper connection with ourselves, with one another and with the spirit of place.
Moving Together
At the heart of the gathering will be Shakti Dance® group Mantric Choreographies, combining mantra, rhythm, breath, mudra and meditative movement.
Practised collectively, these choreographies create a shared field of presence in which the group begins to move and resonate as one body.
Within the Cornish landscape, they become a form of embodied pilgrimage: a way of listening and responding to the particular qualities of each place through movement, sound and awareness.
The programme will also include mantra, meditation, embodied listening, periods of silence and reflection, guided landscape practices, and time for rest, community and informal sharing.
Throughout our time together we will weave Shakti Dance practices with sacred journeys into the landscape. We may gather in stone circles, walk ancient pathways, sit beside holy wells, visit sacred caves, and share mantric movement practices in places where earth, sea, and sky meet.
This gathering is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with natural rhythm, and experience the restorative power of movement, community, and place.
The Landscape Journey
We anticipate making one or two journeys to carefully chosen coastal or ancient locations.
We are located on the ancient Saints’ Way, where we will walk this historic pilgrim path, following in the footsteps of the Celtic saints. Along the way, we’ll discover legends of dragons and mermaids as we journey towards the “thin place”—where the river meets the sea.
Through movement, mantra, meditation and periods of quiet listening, we will explore the elemental qualities of earth, water, wind and space.
The precise programme and choice of locations will remain responsive to the weather, tides and needs of the group.

Sara Avtar
Sara Avtar is the British-born creatrix of Shakti Dance®, a singer-songwriter, and an E-RYT 500 Kundalini Yoga and Shakti Dance® Lead Teacher Trainer with over 35 years of experience in yoga, sacred movement, and meditation. She has released five mantra music albums and guided thousands worldwide in embodied awakening.
Now based in Italy, she weaves movement, mantra, breath, and seasonal archetypes into practices that awaken Shakti, support self-worth, and align with the rhythms of nature. Her recent work explores Sacred Cycles, Celtic archetypes, and her evolving cosmology, the Seasonal I Ching — helping people embody their radiant soul essence, or Avatar.
Sara’s offerings bridge tantric wisdom and somatic ritual, opening pathways to inner coherence, creative flow, and soul remembrance. Her spaces evoke clarity, harmony, and a grounded return to one’s deeper nature.

Sangita
Sangita Lakhanpal is a British-born artist, music producer, and tantric yoga teacher rooted in the spiritual wisdom of her Indian heritage. Drawing from Vedic mythology, she brings ancient stories into modern life, weaving voice, myth, spirituality, and ecology.
Originally trained in human rights law, she shifted toward healing traditions, later sharing music and meditation in prisons, rehabs, and schools. A deeper calling led her to India, where she lived as a river pilgrim along the Narmada and founded a small arts school for children.
Today her life moves between Cornwall, India, and Portugal, where she has built a water temple called Kantara. Her work carries the imprint of sacred sites, mythic culture, and wild nature.
